Today I'm going to share with you the reason this series was created: my sweet daughter Ellie.
It all started with Star Wars shoes. One day several months ago Ellie and I were in Target and she saw these awesome Star Wars shoes. She has always loved shoes, so I wasn't surprised when she lunged for them, but what surprised me was that 10 minutes went by and she was still clutching them in her chubby little toddler fists and saying "MINE! MINE!"
They became her favorite shoes. The ONLY shoes she would willingly put on. A couple of months went by and she started to vocalize her feelings about wearing her sisters' hand-me-downs. Charlotte and Caroline are big time girly girls, so almost everything Ellie owns is pink or purple.
She had a couple of random boyish tee shirts and she would ask to wear them every day. Then she started pitching a fit when I would dress her in pink. The girlier it was, the more she disliked it! She even started saying "I don't like pink, I like BWOO."
I took her with me shopping in the men's department, hoping she would find a cool shirt I could refashion

It's great that she has her own style and knows it. And you're such a great mom for making something so specific for her! I love it. It still looks feminine even though its blue!
