Kicking off the Refashionista Event!

It's time to get creative about acquiring fabric and patterns!

Thrift: Thrift stores are a wonderful way to get cheap fabric. Look in the linens section and you'd be amazed at the cute floral sheets and curtains. At 2 or 3 bucks a pop it's a great deal!

Barter: If you're like me you probably have fabric in your stash that has been sitting there forever and you have no idea what to do with it. Why not ask a crafty friend if she has any fabric she'd like to get rid of and trade it out? It's a win/win! Also, if you put out the word that you would like to take un-needed fabric off of people's hands you'd be surprised at how many people would love to clean out their stash. My wonderful Step-Mother (Happy Birthday Ellen!) sent me a box full of awesome fabrics that she wasn't using, and I have used several of them to make clothes for me and the girls.

Free Patterns: Don't spend money on patterns when there's no need! The internet is CHOCKED full of free patterns. Here are some of my favorite sites:
