Isn't it romantic?

I am feeling inspired by romance lately. I just purchased the most FABULOUS necklace from Disney's Etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/antiquatedpearl) because when I saw it I knew it was meant to be mine! I also became inspired by the El Cheapo shirt challenge (click the button on the left for more details! I have a couple of boxy, sad t-shirts I bought from old navy for a steal when I had just had Caroline. They are not very flattering, but then nothing is after you have a baby! Now that I have a waist again I have tried to upgrade my shirt collection, so I ordered a couple of very nice shirts from Ann Taylor. Then in my sleep-deprived state I have put both of them in the dryer and they shrank! One of those shirts was a fabulous pink with an insanely romantic collar. I knew I couldn't scrap the shirt without preserving the collar, so here is what I did:

I took this shirt, cut off the collar...

sewed it onto this shirt, put two seams under the bust with elastic thread and...

Now I have this shirt!

So today I curled my hair, put on my new favorite necklace, my new favorite shirt and I feel fabulous! Of course this is not my entry in the El Cheapo shirt challenge because let's face it, that would be cheating. All of the work was done for me by Ann Taylor! So here is the shirt for my actual entry, it is truly a challenge. Wish me luck!
